I have just published the post below about the books I have bought and I realized that I could really do with some inspiration - especially in the YA department. So please all of you wonderful people out there in blogland, write a comment and recommend a great book that you think I should read :-)
I love Shift and Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready! :)
ReplyDeleteLiza @ Book Crook Liza
The His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman if you've not read it already.
ReplyDeleteOr Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson, about a slave in America. Both are great :)
I am looking forward to Chime by Franny Billingsley. She might win the National Book Award for YA fiction next week. I loved her earlier book, The Folk Keeper.
ReplyDeleteI loved TEMPEST, but it doesn't officially release until January.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sam's suggestion!
Also try WITHER!
Thanks for you suggestions. I have now bought the first book in the His Dark Materials trilogy and will have a look for the other ones you mention. Thanks for helping me out :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Willa, try some Stephanie Perkins for a good contemporary read, I also loved Unearthly by Cynthia Hand.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog, following back. Stop by and see if there are any other YA books I have reviewed that take your fancy.
